Delegate Polmatier’s bill is titled ‘Save the Piping Plovers’. In the beginning she wasn’t sure what animals she wanted to save, so she looked up ‘endangered animals’ on Google. She decided on the Piping Plovers. Piping plovers are adorable little fluff-ball birds who have been described by other members of the YIG Legislative branch as ‘very handsome’ and ‘incredibly adorable’. Delegate Polmatier decided to create this bill because she noticed everyone else was addressing human-related problems, and she figured that animals could use some help as well. She’s focusing on saving animals because humans are destroying the world, and animals are having to face humans’ problems because humans aren’t. Delegate Polmatier’s bill was passed by the Assembly and is waiting for approval by the Senate.
