With a new year of Youth in Government starting, changes are happening for the program itself, and no matter what program area you are part of, there will be some sort of
change. However, this article is mainly going to look at the changes to the Press Corps.
New delegates to the program will have to fill out an application, in fact, even all returning delegates took this. In addition, the application itself is meant to make sure then when you join you won’t slack in the program area.
The next change happening to the Press Corps is that the program area is moving to a more digitized ideal. Especially at Model Gov, we will try to focus more on online publications, as opposed to print.
Plus, you will see a monthly paper coming for the Fox Cities delegation, and with a bimonthly paper coming out for the Wisconsin delegation.
The Press Corps is also looking for a Video Editor (to be decided at Pre-Gov on January 26th) and other video editors to help with the projects too.
Along with the new year for Youth in Government starting, changes are being made in Press Corps as well as with these other program areas.
We’re looking forward to this year’s Model Gov. With everything changing this year we hope you have a great rest of your year at Youth in Government.
