The Manitowoc delegation met at Reedsville Middle School for a mock debate on each of their bills. They all found different things they should work on to debate the bills. It was a fun, interesting event overall because there were some bills that may seem to be a normal bill, turned into a huge argument session with voices bouncing back and forth. There was a break in between for lunch and people were still talking about the bills.
The delegates who joined the debate and presented/practice their bills were Ellyanna Zipperer, Carson Knott, Julia Ebert, Emily Morales, Ava Petska, Hailey Taddy, Janessa Zipperer, Walker Linboom, Gianna Demeuse, Logan Anderson, and Cassandra Gunderson. They all had debatable bills for Model Gov and some of the new delegates have some great speaking skills for presenting.
Here is a sneak-peek of some of the bills: An act to require a mental health therapist at all public schools in Wisconsin and an increase in tax penalty on texting and driving.
