Caillou was a children’s show that came out in 1997 and ended in 2018. The main character, Caillou, is a four year old boy who learns a new thing every day with mom, dad, and his sister Rosie. The show was rated Y-7 and had 8 seasons, and is about Caillou learning new things and having adventures.
In the show, Caillou is bald. Many people guessed that Caillou either had cancer or a gene that prevents him from growing hair. The creators mentioned that the real reason for Caillou’s baldness is because he was a baby in the original books, and when they tried to add hair as he grew up in the show, Caillou became unrecognizable.
Caillou was supposed to be sort of like an iconic, known-by-all character, and adding hair changed his look too much. Caillou remained bald for the whole show because of this, not cancer.
