What People are Excited for in Pre-Gov

For the first time in quite a few years, Wisconsin Youth in Government’s Pre-Gov was in person and not online. It was hosted on the first of February in Green Bay at Bellin College. Everyone seemed to be quite excited for the Pre-Gov to be in person. The last few years, Pre-Gov for Wisconsin Youth in Government has been online through a large Zoom call. Older delegates and delegate directors stated that Pre-Gov has not been in person since before Covid-19. Because of this new change, delegate Lux, from the Fond du Lac delegation, reached out through social media to some delegates from other delegations to listen to what they were excited about with Pre-Gov being in person.

Lux received five responses from other delegates about their excitement for in-person Pre-Gov and this is what they had to say. Most delegates were ecstatic about reuniting with friends of other delegations, while others were ecstatic to meet new friends from other delegations. One thing was certain, everyone was elated to meet with others in person. Some even stated that it will help broaden delegates’ perspectives. This can be especially true with some of the interesting bills that get to be presented. Pre-Gov is promised to be a great time thanks to all the hard work of the Delegation Directors, Executive Team, and Steering Committee.
